THE PROCESS

THE PROCESS
To begin with we need to understand the entire process of “feeling – thought – verbalization – expression”. Though difficult to understand or believe in our present state and due persistent societal conditioning since birth, the first in this process are feelings. It was only when the feeling to (necessity must also be FELT) to communicate arose it became a thought which expressed itself in the form of a generalized agreement upon MEANINGS IMPLIED by a variety of syllables, sounds, gestures and script symbols so as to facilitate communication. This understanding, that it is the feelings that arise first, is very critical, vital and pivotal. Critical because it has the capacity to change our very state of being in a flash of a moment. Vital because it can be used a check mechanism (we will come to that later) and pivotal because it is this knowledge that can help us do the act of striking the fine balance between the inner and outer world.
We FEEL good in the company and presence of a person, this feeling is sensed by our social intelligence it quickly identifies the feeling as good in a flash of its thought process and sticks the label good on it and starts verbalizing by pumping up words like “I feel so good”, “it feels so nice being with you”, “I really enjoy your company” etc... Now this is a very crucial bit of understanding, that all these words of praise have been generated by social intelligence in response to a genuine stir of pleasant feelings in the innate intelligence hence these words are TRUE they are ALIVE. Now to express them or not to express them is totally up to us, whether we remain silent or communicate what we feel inside is voluntary but only this last bit, that is expression, is under our control rest of it has already happened involuntarily within us. These words, as mentioned in the example above, have followed the true and natural flow of “feeling – thought – verbalization – expression” and hence are true and have meaning .Now we can clearly see why this understanding is so critical, it defines TRUTH for an individual. We can gauge anything and everything we speak (and hear too) as truth or false. All we need to do is trace back their origin. If the words we have spoken have arisen within us from the very depth of our feelings they are true and if they have just been “thought – verbalized – expressed” by-passing their origin at the depths of feelings (may be due to some vested interests or ulterior motives) they are false. Similarly, but this demands a higher level of mental & emotional clarity as to the ability to operate from the innate intelligence and not get stuck with the social intelligence, we can gauge the truth in the words we hear. If the words that we have heard are allowed to percolate into our innate intelligence, and not just get blocked out at the level of social intelligence, then we would find that with a flash of feelings in an instant we would be aware if the words contain any truth or not. This is why this understanding of “feeling – thought – verbalization – expression” process is so vital, because it serves as a check mechanism. It can keep a constant check on the truthfulness of inflow and outflow of words within our “MIND-BODY ORGANISM”.
With this check mechanism installed into our “MIND-BODY ORGANISM” we can constantly be aware of the truth inside and outside of us. This awareness brings in immense clarity within us and hence automatically allows us to function better in the outer world.
But due to our continuous conditioning and a socio-cultural milieu that never teaches, expects or allows us to look into all these facets of our existential reality we have totally severed all our links with our innate intelligence and hence our true feelings. And this is how the “FROM COMMUNICATION TO CONFUSION” phenomenon takes birth.
